I've also noticed that the large 'straight-on' arrows on motorways, near slip lane exits throw it off too.. |

l turned this off in the menu and it's never activated so it's clearly permanently off.

Update
The engine and transmission in my D250 had gradually become smoother as time has gone on. The issue l reported at the start of this thread has disappeared. l've experienced this before with diesel vehicles. lt seems to take around 10,000 miles for the engine to loosen up, before that it can be a bit sudden in power delivery. My Transit TDCi was similar for the first 10,000 miles or so. If you pulled out of a junction there would be nothing, and then suddenly the van would shoot forwards. |

I have reported low gear change lumpiness to be looked at when my D300 is next in the dealers. At times it seems very lumpy with a faint thump between 3rd and 2nd particularly down shifts and when cold. Will see what they say. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

How many miles have you done in it. And has it had the gearbox software update?

l would give it a bit more time. Mine started to improve towards 10,000 miles and is now really smooth.
There was a gearbox software update around 12 months ago. l called out LR Assist because of the gear change issue and he did the update, which improved it although still wasn't perfect. At the time l had only done around 2,000 miles. |

After struggling with the lack of smoothness at low speeds in traffic for a while now in my 2023 Defender D300, I bought a throttle controller at the suggestion of a Landcruiser driving mate. It seems to work a treat and now everything is smooth again.

Can you supply a link to the device that you fitted?

It’s interesting if I put it in “Economy” mode on 3 or 4 it seems so much better in heavy stop start traffic. It doesn’t change gear all the time and is much more smooth. Feels very similar to my Disco 4. I think it just makes the electronic throttle less touchy. I’ve been following this thread for months, took the car to the dealer… “head mechanic” drove it like he was driving Miss Daisy and said “I can’t see a problem! “ So I’ve been driving in sport mode. This throttle controller system seems much better and you can fiddle with it so it suits you and your driving requirements. If anyone orders one from this mob it is better to take a photo of your connection on the top of the accelerator pedal and send it to them so you get the right connection first up. But it’s plug and play and easy to install and remove. Only had it 2 weeks so I’ll keep you updated. |
