ls that good? How much did you pay for it.

lt means they'll probably want to retail it at £60-62,000

There are similar MY24 24 plate HSE 90’s in the dealer network on sale for not much more than £55k, obviously depends on mileage.

Trade in price is irrelevant, what matters is the cost to change.

There are pros and cons for the dealers in doing this.

I've also been looking in the JLR used approved network (110 3ltr HSE) with very mixed results. Vertu Yeovil could not have done more and were as you would hope...others have been much less proactive and some downright rude. I think it is not necessarily a brand wide issue, just seems good sales staff are harder to find.

One thing I did learn was that by taking out at least £15k PCP currently there is a free 2 year extended warranty and roadside assistance deal....I plan to take the PCP and pay it off immediately to benefit from this. It might not be applicable to MY24 vehicles as you still have 2 years manufactures warranty left anyway.

You are right it varies from dealer to dealer. I have found the smaller dealerships that are not owned by the large groups seem better.

I visited another dealer today and yes, it seems take a PCP and pay off after 3 months is the way to get a good deal.

Went to look at Defender, but also looked at the Disco 5 £8k+ discount on offer!!!!

If you pay after 3 months you will pay 3 months interest plus 60 days cancellation interest from memory. You can pay it off with a few days interest within 14 days.

I think the dealer tells you to keep it for 3 months because they are "fined" by JLR if you pay off early, but the reality is that you can pay off right away and still benefit from the 2 year warranty & roadside deal...naughty of the dealer if they told you you must keep it. Thumbs Up

Yeah, you’re best off cancelling the finance within the 14 day cooling off period - you won’t face any additional interest or charges as it doesn’t count as early termination. 2025MY Defender 90 D250 X-Dynamic HSE | Santorini Black with Black Pack

So August is nearly over and the 75 plate vehicles will be out of the showroom shortly, so sales of new vehicles will slow. Guess what, discounts now being offered on new Defender 90’s if I take a stock vehicle.

Discounts so far around £3k on a decent spec 90, and dealers are now calling me back to do a deal.

Let’s see what happens.

Plus, dealers are trying to shift the last of their MY25.5 models before the MY26s start to show up in the next couple of weeks!

I got offered some good discounts for a MY24 last year when I was ordering my MY25. I ended up going ahead with the MY25 in the end, still with a discount, just a little less than was offered for the previous MY. 2025MY Defender 90 D250 X-Dynamic HSE | Santorini Black with Black Pack
