110 Truck tub prep question
Hi all,

I tend to haul a motorcycle in my 110 truck bed - it's a loading accident waiting to happen with the slippery gloss paint at the moment. I thought I'd have a go spraying in a proper bed liner. It currently has these sliders riveted (poorly) to the bed. Are these a standard item? I don't see them in the parts diagrams.

I'd like to remove them entirely and add cargo tracking later (not in the same position as the sliders). So, two questions: Are they doing any kind of structural reinforcement, and what should I fill the holes with? I think they match up with the stringers under the bed, so no way to attack from below. Thanks.

They were certainly standard on series LWB pickups.
They are to slide items in when loading, and not structural. You could just fill the holes with rivets before painting the bed?

My 1994 110 had/has those strips. They were crusty and mostly loose when I bought it 10 years ago but I cleaned them up and gave a few coats of black paint before riveting then back down then threw a rubber mat over them. They're still there as far as I know?
