Hi all,
re my 2010 Puma 110 Time has come to look at my options for the crossmember or chassis. 100% need a new crossmember but given the cost etc. I'm considering a chassis swap instead. Any recommendations in the Edinburgh/central belt area? Thanks in advance Cheers, Andy... Edinburgh, Scotland http://24heuer.com |

thanks both.
I'm waiting for a quote from engine710. Lead-time is quite long though. Cheers, Andy... Edinburgh, Scotland http://24heuer.com |

Engine 710 are good but you’re paying for the location and image IMO, I’ve had work done by them and was very happy but there’s options here.
Gibsons auto service is also worth getting a quote from, JS Walker on the a71 near dalmahoy is also a good option, it looks like a dump but they were very good with my 110 when it needed it welding. |

Another recommendation for Engine 710. They are not the cheapest, but they are very good and that's reflected by how long you have to wait to get a slot for any work to be done due to their popularity.

Like your rear Xmember my bulkhead is like chocolate. 710 are very good and quote me 7k for new bulkhead.

Thanks for all the names so far.
I've tried a few. Also contacted Tayside Land Rover. Some wanted to see the vehicle first and due to work I've not had the time. I'm still deliberating over what to do. TBH though the crossmember is looking a lot more expensive than I expected. So, I thought if it's that much maybe I should look at a re-chassis instead - but wow! that's not cheap either these days. Both options are a significant chunk of cash. Cheers, Andy... Edinburgh, Scotland http://24heuer.com |

I maybe out of touch with labour rates for things, but does that include painting the new one? |

Out of interest what kind of quotes are you getting?
l've been looking at Puma 110's and on all but one the crossmember was starting to go. Also none have been wax treated, l thought this was pretty much a necessity when you bought one of these new? Although when buying 10 years down the line at least it means you can see what you're getting and it's not all covered in black gunge. |

Quotes are between £1K and £2K
I'd love to get the full chassis swapped but prices for that are way out my league just now. Getting even the crossmember done anywhere soon is also a problem as everywhere is fully booked for weeks. Cheers, Andy... Edinburgh, Scotland http://24heuer.com |

Why do you think it needs a chassis? l've not seen any with chassis issues apart from the rear crossmember and mid crossmember both of which are replaceable, in fact l did the mid crossmember myself on my TD5 110.
