Other areas other than transfer box to check would be:
Wear on the Tyres - uneven wear of the tread can cause this - could try swapping rear wheels for front see if that changes anything Bent track rod or panhard rod Loose or worn track rod ends Loose drop arm Worn swivel bearings |

Got a mate with same vehicle??
Swap the rear prop for a test. I think that is the problem |

Sounds like the rear prop. Perhaps it was noisy before the t/c rebuild but sound was absorbed by the general wear of the old t/c? I assume that the original or correct replacement mounts have been fitted? 1983 110 automatic OM606

I recently replaced my rear prop as the MOT noticed a bit of play. Driveline feels better now.
The UJ at the diff end didn't feel right and had a bit of a flat spot. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |
