This evening, managed to steal an hour or two on the 90. Had a better attempt at tidying the crossmember with buzzweld chassis in one. Also cut off the old rotten mudflap brackets and fitted some m8 rivnuts to hold the new ones. Should have gone for new flaps too but I’ve a few MOT’s approaching so no unnecessary spending!

It’s one from Osram, model is the VX1000-CBSM 41”.
The rack has mount points for individual spots as per the G4 vehicles but I made some small brackets to bring the bar forward a little. I’ll get a pic later of them. 2009 90 commercial. 2003 110 G4 used in 03 and 06 events - its well travelled. 2002 Range Rover G4 Event car (Australian leg) 2008 Discovery 3 G4 UK Selections car 1968 Series 2a |

Thought I best check the condition of the swivels as I recalled them being a bit mucky when I bought it.
Managed to clean them up a bit but the seals do need replacing along with one of the swivels. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge Thankfully a job I’ve done before on the 110. 2009 90 commercial. 2003 110 G4 used in 03 and 06 events - its well travelled. 2002 Range Rover G4 Event car (Australian leg) 2008 Discovery 3 G4 UK Selections car 1968 Series 2a |

I started to tackle the extremely tired swivel seal… as soon as I took the weight off the wheel, grease poured out. The Caliper to carrier bolts were pretty seized so I had to strip from the swivel ball bolts and disassemble from the back. The ball is pretty pitted so will be replaced anyway but it’s taken a lot longer with snapped bolts in various components. Hopefully the near side will be easier!
