Doors- Supplier DDS Metal Services
The door saga continues and I am contemplating a change of supplier for the doors.

Has anyone used the above company and can pass comment on their doors and customer service?

I did phone them to see if they do what I want and spoke to a knowledgeable chap which gives me some hope. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

I wouldn’t fit anything other than “Puma” doors, far better made than the old fabricated type

Puma doors aren't happening as that requires loads of new bits on top of the cost of the doors.

I have managed to convince the existing 1995 ones to eek out (badly in places I admit) till now so I am fairly confident that Galv frame replacements will be fine and I can reuse the internals. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

I have always found DDS to be very good and also very accommodating. I went to their site to inspect various bits before placing an order for a bulkhead, and they have knocked up a pair of custom sills for me before now. I have no experience of their doors though.... 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

DDS have a great reputation.

I used SP and chose to visit them and ‘hand pick’ my doors from their stock.
They are better to deal with in person, although that isn’t necessarily practical for many.

Thanks @Screbble

DDS are driveable from me SP not so much.

I think I have made up my mind and a complete repaint is on the cards Laughing 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

Sounds like a great decision - albeit expensive - but worth it.

Looking forward to the before and after pics 👍
