Easy central locking coding options ….
Hi all, so I’ve just fitted electric window mechanisms including central locking into my 2009 puma 90. It has all of the connections for central locking in the door post which I’ve connected. It also has I’m presuming the correct module with the small aerial wire coming out behind the dash. It was not been fitted with central locking before . So my question, Is there an easy way to code some fobs to see whether my central locking system works as a plug and play as I have as far as I can see central locking mechanisms fitted in the door, cabling, correct green module behind the dash with antenna wire and hopefully all necessary relays fitted (as there was with the electric windows) or am I hoping for a moon on a stick here? Love to hear your thoughts.

Have aread of this https://www.technozen-electronics.co.uk/la...-services/

If you have a 10AS alarm unit part numbers

AMR6431
AMR4896
YWC106270
YWC500660

Then unless it’s been upgraded you won’t hsve central locking relays. However you can add them cheaply by getting parts from technozen on the bay of e, or get technozen to do it for you.

Once added a Nanocom can program fobs. If technozen added relays they can provide fully programmed fobs as well

No on Puma, but on TD5 Defenders I have opened lot of these 10AS ECUs and most of them had already these relays installed from factory. So first check, what do you have - what alarm ECU, and if if is needed to add something. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo Smile

That’s why I highlighted the part numbers of the 10AS units that are not equipped with the relays as standard. These part numbers are printed on the outside case of the 10AS.

Of course these could have been upgraded in the past so I suppose opening the case and having a look would confirm.

The downside of sending the 10AS unit for upgrading is that you can’t start the vehicle without it, but if you are not confident fitting the relays and thermistor yourself, and don’t have a Nanocom to configure the 10AS then it’s the cheapest and easiest option.

I would think that apart from having the relays fitted, the feature need to be activated no? I mean you now add remotes that need to be programmed etc. I am sure the Nanocom would do that, but I never looked into it as I have manual everything on my Td5 (If I want central locking I take the RR)

The Nanocom can configure all the features of the 10AS, including adding new fobs, configuring Central locking etc. As long as you have the licence for a Puma, or TD5 etc.
The OP may already have fobs that are configured into the 10AS, just to work with the immobiliser.
If that’s the case , once the 10AS is upgraded and configured with the Nanocom the fobs won’t need to be added as they will already exist and can then be used to lock / unlock the doors.
