heres the scenario.
I need to paint up my daughters sub-frame. rightly or wrongly I've decided to use some hammerite smooth finish. largely because I have some ![]() I goes to my box of rattle cans and there she is. a nice new shiny rattle can of hammerite. only wait it not quite 'new'. while it feels full the spray nozzle is missing and there's a little evidence of use. I find a replacement nozzle but yep - you've guessed it nothing is coming out as its blocked. so I'm contemplating giving the can a good old shake and whacking a nail in the side of can and getting spraying. just wondering what my chances of success might be. I will be doing this outside and not in the kitchen. ![]() |

That’s going to be one single coat of very thick paint. If it goes on without runs I will be impressed. Unfortunately once dry I think it will chip very easily. Is that what you ended up doing with the Hammerite ? |
