Switzerland 2014 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Indus Silver
Added Electricals.
Hey all

I have a 2014 Puma. It was used at CERN and 100% had a few electrical mods done. I'm struggling to identify what is original and what was added. I suspect it had small flashing lights front and back and had an added two way radio or the like.

I've attached some pictures and have some questions.

Is the connector in engine bay normally used?
Is the radio aerial normally on the right side? (I have one installed on the left but hole in right wing)
Battery box looks like the fuse board and relays were all added?
Passenger side looks OK except added piggy back fuse, blue connector, earthing and the two aerial cables?
Under cubby hole added plugs?
Under cubby hole panel...very hard to tell what's added. Assume the woven cable and dodgy insulation tape are giveaways.

Many Thanks

At CERN they'd probalby installed a flux compensator Rolling with laughter

erm, anway

"Is the connector in engine bay normally used?"
IIRC it's for an optional heater for cold countries, forgot what component it's supposed to heat

"Is the radio aerial normally on the right side?"
LHD has it on the left wing and no hole in the right.

"Battery box looks like the fuse board and relays were all added?"
Yes. Neatly done. The labels say
"+15 contact" - it's "clamp 15" which is ignition live +
"feux orange", "feux bleu" orange and blue lights obviously

"Passenger side looks OK except added piggy back fuse, blue connector, earthing and the two aerial cables?"
Bit hard to see. It seems the piggy back F10, reverse light.

Dodgy insulation is probably from factory Laughing

I'd trace them all and draw a diagram.
If you search for user dgardel you'll find 2012 wiring diagram and connector library for download or online at lrworkshop.com
