These lists of internal components always concern me, why list engine parts that few will understand what they are?

Why not say, "the engine and gearbox are covered" it makes me think there's a get out clause if the engine were to fail
"oh it's damaged the casing and that's not covered, and it needs a new sprag clutch and that's not covered either"

That image is for the "Select Extended Warranty" - which is both cheaper and more limited than the "Extended Warranty" which is pretty comprehensive. Apologies for not posting the full policy details before (I didn't want to flood the thread Wink ).

Plumpmoose, your mention of a slightly larger battery, actually consists of 48V lithium battery in the boot and also a 12v battery beneath the drivers seat.. there have been a lot of problems with the DC to DC converter which converts the 48v generator to 12 v to supply power to both batteries.
i have read a lot of reports re warranty problems with people wishing they had gone with the LR one rather another company, warranty wise being one of the worse 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

What cost are we talking for the inverter and battery replacement?

The inverter is a few grand just for the port iirc. Had mine replaced already under warranty. Less than 4000miles from new and 6 months old. It’s becoming a common issue MY25 90 D350 X-Dynamic HSE in Silicon Silver and coil sprung

Not for worrying me yet as still on Landrover warranty BUT with my discovery 4 I had the dreaded crankshaft failure at 60000 miles, Warranty folk said no, as known fault but as had been regularly serviced from new and on warranty continually from new the nice landrover folk gave me a new engine and turbos so I'd think about that as well. That alone reimbursed me for all the warranty years I'd paid for. Now 23 defender 250 SE

Yes it's bizarre l've had no issues whatsoever with mine and it's now 2 1/2 years 20,000 miles.
