Does anyone measured the diameter of these 1 piece halfshafts? Puma 110" SW

I think the diameter looks to be the same as the standard puma half shafts but removing the weakpoint of the outer splined drive flanges that always wear

Just been having a look at this thread as my DM’s could do with externally greasing again, I’ve got no problems with mine touch wood and running Ashcroft 2 piece rear.
Ashcroft HD flanges front, rest genuine front. Blackwolf - Did you ever manage to get around to fitting a grease nipple to any HD DM caps? I would like to do that, but the problem is with them currently fitted and the work involved it’s easier just to have some caps to swap over which isn’t cheap… I wonder if the Terrafirma versions would fit and as it’s just caps I wonder if they would swap over, they are a lot cheaper. Presumably the clearance is there in the centre of the alloy behind the centre cap and the DM cap with a grease nipple in the centre or would it need offsetting. Would certainly be a lot faster and easier to grease, than having to take the caps off and also more effective. No, I went for single-piece halfshafts at the rear, the fronts are still Ashcroft HD with standard caps and seem to give no trouble.

I remember, that’s good. So I take it that you still just manually grease the front splines and all is okay.
![]() Though off topic, the A frame ball joint and bushes are also a common cause of a sloppy or loose rear often confused with rear driveshaft components. Essentially yes, although bear in mind that grease won't cure an already worn joint. You'd have to judge if it's already too far gone.
