Not the end of the world you could weld it depends if it's an original exhaust it's worth it if it's an aftermarket you'll get another one for not alot more than someone's time welding. The wire trick would help you get to a garage 110 Td5 Ex Utilities slowly converting into a pop top camper one day

I wouldn’t bother repairing it, personally.
You can get a terrafirma mid pipe or rear pipe for £65 each. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS. |

Providing the rear section isn’t bent, then you just need a centre, I’d go for a straight through, don’t bother with LR’s big box.
TF do one that will fit. You can replace at home, but if you really don’t want to or can’t it’ll be okay to go to get it done just don’t leave it or go for a super long trip. I had the same last year, only the centre was fine but the rear bent due to stainless bolts sheared. Check your tyre inner wall as well, make sure the busted exhaust doesn’t rub or it will damage a tyre. Guess how I know. It’s not unknown for the rear to get bent around the axle, brake pipe is near there too so check that but probably okay. I just cut the broken rear off, ran with the centre in place for a bit until the new rear arrived and fitted myself. Shouldn’t cost you much above £120. Mines straight through centre and 3” rear. Sounds good. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Thank you both. Will try to get it replaced tomorrow.
Just checked my records: replaced the full exhaust in 2020 at 105k miles, and had to replace the tail end last August at 117k miles; it's now at 123k - this seems excessive to me. There have been no issues with performance or acceleration; given this is the centre box from 2020, do you think this is just shonky parts? |

Thank you, Custom90; I heard it about 100m from the house, travelling at 20 mph, and had not run far but thank you for the tip; will check it out in the morning.
