On my 2021 D90 First Edition US, I was able to get ACC (the most important feature to me), ATPC, TR2, and dynamic mode enabled. I also enabled advanced tow assist, but have not yet tried it.
In dynamic mode, I don’t have any red lighting on the instrument cluster and interior lights. The latter is no surprise given that my D90 does not have the ambient lighting feature. No big deal to me. I’m enjoying the heavier steering feel of dynamic mode, but I have not yet noticed the impact of other settings. Presence of the red lighting effect in the instrument cluster seems to be vehicle, year, and/or trim level specific and not related to the programming tool. Park assist did not work even after following the direct CCF editing approach based on examples shared in the other Gap-oriented threads. I don’t see the icon on the right. I see the grayed out setting in the driver assistance section. When I click on the Park Assist icon, I just see the icon displayed in the middle of the screen. Similar to some other people. Since I had the braking error for a while, I was thinking that it was getting in the way of park assist working similar to the braking error causing ACC to not work. However, even after the braking error was cleared and not present, park assist still did not work (yet ACC did). As mentioned in those threads, enabling park assist seems to be a hit or miss affair across multiple programming tools. I was interested in giving park assist a go just from a techie perspective. We have it in one our GTIs, but never use it. Remembering start/stop setting doesn’t seem to have worked for my D90 either. I don’t mind the auto stop feature, but I figured I’d try to enable the memory feature just to have it. Again, I used the direct CCF approach to enable the memory feature. Thanks aquascape and everyone else. This is a great alternative to the gap tool if you just want to change a few settings.
On my 2023 90 I got auto start/stop. auto unlock approach/lock away, fog/high beams, and dynamic (with red lights/guages) all to work. |

I think the jet pro is most useful as a diy tool for activating acc, tr2 auto and atpc which can’t yet be done with the gap tool. MY23 D250 Defender 110 X-Dynamic SE, Carpathian Grey, 7 Seat, Electric Towbar

Can the trailer reversing mode be activated by the jet tool? I was able to get it partially working by gap but ended up with the usual errors.
Also how likely is it that Pat at gap will get this sorted in the next month or two? Don’t want to spend then find it’s on my gap tool at Christmas 🎄 |

I used the JET Pro tool to enable advanced tow assist on my 2021 D90 First Edition (US) without any apparent errors, but I had not yet taken the time to test it. (ACC was my top priority). Spurred on by your post, I hooked up a trailer and gave it a go this evening. It appears to work as expected. Since it was getting dark, I'll need to give a real test during the day tomorrow. Here's a pic of it in effect. I didn't notice any errors and all of the features as documented seemed to be available. During my brief test this evening, auto steering kicked in as well. Which option is for advanced tow assist? I have a 75th edition 110. I have activated dynamic mode with the red lights etc but I don't see the tow assist script.

So far I have had success with:
Second gen terrain, ATPC, RS, Dynamic i (including red lights everywhere) Start-Stop memory Remote control pops open the tailgate The only other two I am interested in are: Parking assist Tow reverse assist |

I used the JET Pro tool to edit the CCF settings as called out in the following “Gap Diagnostic Tool working Activations” topic: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic89347.html After setting CCF fields properly, just like when using one of JET Pro’s built-in scripts, I used the standard set of steps to write the CCF changes and perform the other actions on the other tabs as called out elsewhere in this topic in which we’re having this discussion. 2021 D90 Pangea First Edition Last edited by ckamps on 27th Nov 2023 3:40pm.
