Sounds like it will be better to sell and get what you want.

Heavens that would be a massive job. Although anything is possible. ldeally you would need to find a written off Defender with the 3.0 engine still intact.
As above, better to sell yours and buy the one that you want. |

Another thing to be aware of is that the 3.0 diesels have the Active Driveline AWD system that replaces the center differential for a clutch pack and a front axle disconnect. Eventually all Defenders got this drivetrain for the 2020.5MY. The engine might not be compatible with the permanent 4WD system in your current Defender, and of course add on the fact that you'd need to retrofit all of the MHEV components. You're honestly better off getting a new Defender. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏𝟎 𝐒 𝐏𝟑𝟎𝟎 (Pangea Green over Acorn/Lunar)

Years ago, I swapped my RR 4,6l V8 engine with a stripped engine from "Turner Engineering" including Heads, with new block, front cover, Oil Pump assembly, etc... But not sure they sale 3.0 ingenium, TBC.
