I’ve recently made the swap from ko2’s to falken wildpeak at3wa. Seems like a great swap so far, I’m not quite as confident off-road with them yet but the road performance is a lot better. Ideally I wanted something very slightly more aggressive than the falken at3wa, more like the at3w that they have available in the USA and aus.

Since purchasing I have seen the launch of some new toyos that look great. Shame they were released 6 months too late.

I've been very happy with the Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs that have been on mine for almost 5 years now. Very good all-round tyre and better offroad than the Wrangler MTRs that were fitted from the factory. Excellent mileage too but weren't the cheapest by a long shot.

The Duratracs sadly aren't really an option in the UK. Very poor availability and limited choice of sizes.

Just want to throw my hat in the ring here.
BFG KM2 (or more likely KM3 now as KM2 are phased out) in 265/75/16 are perfect.

Thank you to anyone on here who recommended that size, cannot be happier with improvements in look and feel while driving.

Also not completely filling the arches which is not what I wanted.

Hah - let me rephrase

I did not want a wheel/tyre combo that completely filled the arches, so a good few inches of gap is very welcomed!

Amazed how a set of five tyres that almost filled my spare room, and that I was originally worried looked HUGE, can actually look so well proportioned when on the car!

I think 265/75R16 was factory fitted in some markets.....

They are also about the same height as a 235/85 or a 7.50 x 16, just a bit fatter.

I'll throw Yokohama Geolandar AT into the mix

Not the first name you think of, but I did a lot of research before buying them. I wanted a road biased AT tyre with 3 peak rating and quiet on the motorway but capable for light green laning and driving trails.

I think the tyres are superb. There is almost no noticeable road noise on the motorway (and my truck has a fully soundproofed bulkhead so engine noise is much reduced so more likely to hear other noises like tyres) and I just did 2 weeks driving mountain trails in the Pyrenees and the tyres were faultless.

Whenever I need to replace them I'll be getting the same again. TD5 hardtop to Puma inspired Poptop - my build thread
