Mains input
I want to get 230v into my 110. I have looked at the blue caravan type sockets but they are just too large, can anyone suggest a weatherproof socket/ plug that would fit into the towing socket recess in the rear crossmember?

Thanks,

Chris 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black.

What are you using it for as the current requirements will dictate what soze socket you need? 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread

I like these, which are small and available in 16/20/32A versions. They have a range of sealing options in the accessories section:

Also worth noting that the vehicle body must be earthed (thus 3pin plugs required) also your legally on dodgy ground plugging a vehicle into 230V if your household electrical installation does not have an earthing rod or earthed shealthing on the incoming cable. 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread

I’m looking for no more than 10A on a 3 pole supply, it’s just to supply my fridge and battery charger. I don’t like feeding a cable through the window so decided to go this way, I’m aware of the earthing requirements and intend to earth to the chassis and have a weatherproof ELCB in the supply line. Thanks for the link Intercept, I’ll check them out.

It has been mentioned on a few other threads on here.

I can absolutely recommend the DEFA plug:
http://www.leab.eu/en/products/plugs-and-s...iplug.html

Got the cable set A460785 (2,5 green + 1,5m black) and the 230V socket A460829 for £70 off ebay.

The external plug went into the rear crossmember on the right hand side. The black cable routed over to the left and up inside behind the loud speaker, where I fitted the interiour socket.

Thanks for all your suggestions guys, I like the look of the Bulgin and Neutrik connectors, will have to work out all the bits I need, sealing etc.
