Got any pictures of your wiper linkages? I’ve seen it done on Land Rover racers and wondered whether it would be possible to fit it behind a dashboard, clearly you have done just that.

Can you believe it, I actually haven't taken any photos of it fitted !?! Embarassed
The only one I have it the one earlier in the thread with the single wiper box and linkage on the bench.

It basically a steel bracket which picks up on the standard motor mounting threads on the bulkhead. A Range Rover wiper motor is attatched to it. Then two modified wiper boxes with arms welded onto them and rods with rose joints linking it all together. Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Not to worry. What model of Range Rover did the motor come out of?

I imagine it took a bit of trial and error to get the lengths and positions of the linkages/arms right so as to get the correct sweep.

The motor is from my Range Rover Classic donor. Even the wiring colours match!

As for the lengths I measured the standard sweep angle (105°) and then used Pythagoras to work out how long the wheel box arms needed to be with the wiper sweep.

Put it all together and turns out my maths was correct! Luckily Shocked

If there was interest in a kit then I could look into producing one Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Thanks for the motor info. What did you make the link rods out of? I guess they could be standard bar with a rose joint on each end at the simplest end of the scale.

Any packaging challenges behind the dash in terms of finding space for the moving linkages?

I used stainless tube with rose joints as you say. Packaging is very, very tight. Missing the vent brackets and the rear of the centre console by just a few mm.

I think a Tdi would be a bit easier but it's hard to say for sure without looking Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
