C.V joints and swivel housings
This may be a daft question but I'm due to change the swivel housings a and c.v joints on my 52 plate 110 and obviously to swivel housings are full of one shot grease but do I also need to pack the c.v joints with c.v grease or do I use the one shot grease in side the joints, and have I seen a definitive swivel housing pre load setting topic on this site, I cant find it now

cheers kevin

I always rotate the the cv joint and add grease prior to fitting, there is a check to ensure you have the correct shimming, but I'm not sure off the top of my head. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Hi,

This is a well known topic, & there are some quite useful Youtube videos available which discuss the points you have mentioned.

This is a good starting point: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_que...l+bearings

You will find a lot of others related to this one.

Cheers,

Lionel

you can buy CV grease in 600ml carts for the grease gun, cheaper than one shot. Cheers
