1996 Defender 110 300 Tdi HCPU Auto Keswick Green

Recommend a dealer in the Wigan area?

I've recently moved into the Wigan borough of Greater Manchester and I'm looking for a reputable dealer to take the 90 in for warranty work.
The local dealers are:
- Bury, Stratstone (The Stratstone where I used to live had a bit of a poor reputation so I'm nervous of going to the Bury dealer)
- Manchester, Willams
- Knutsford, Guy Salmon
These dealers are all within 20 miles of home, does anyone have any good/bad experiences to share with any of these or any suggestions of any other dealers that would be worth the extra travel time? Tom

I use Williams for both my Defender and RR and have had good experiences.

I got my 110 from Williams Manchester and had them do some warranty work, which was a mistake. Took them 5 attempts to sort some corrosion around the windscreen and then fix the other problems that they caused (broken heater controls, radio stopped working, hands free stopped working) and even then I had to get a big leak from the windscreen fixed at a local Indy (Williams paid for this).

Also once quoted me £75 to take the radio out give me the serial number of the radio. Did it myself using a £1.50 tool from Halfords.

Nice enough folk to buy one from though.

Used Williams when I was working in Manchester a few years back, and generally got great service from them, although I suspect their workshops make the odd school boy error.

Always rectified anything without quibble and even sorted a couple of issues I didn't notice. Very RR/disco orientated.

Might be a little further a field but Hillendale at Nelson were fantastic! 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone
