Rear Door: http://r.ebay.com/uhSXfb - £240
Front Doors: http://r.ebay.com/ZYN7Po - £260

Nice kit but it's not for me, not at that price. If you add a passenger door set for a 110 (which I couldn't find on ebay) you'd be looking at over £700.

A standard hinge is £16: http://r.ebay.com/3M780n so you could get 40+ standard hinges for the money.

Size IS important!
I did a lot of research before buying replacement hinges. Be warned Pumas are not painted with the final coatings under the hinges, they are sprayed hinges fitted, so it's just undercoat under the hinges. You need to be sure the footprint of the new hinges are at least the same size or larger than OEM or they will look bl00dy awful.

Stainless are in my opinion the most durable and best looking.

To Daniele... They are surely well engineered, but don't look to suit a Land Rover, actually in the pictures I think they look a bit like a bull in a china shop.

To Mal... if it ever comes to changing my door hinges, those SS versions you have there would be the best choice I think, they look standard, just wonder if they can be painted in the truck's color. I don't see the SVX with glossy SS hinges yet. Shocked

Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

had a look at these at peterborough show. the company that makes these where there.
had a good long chat. their main business is making stuff for the aero industry. very good quality and if you need a set of hinges then you wont be disappointed. these came about from a design exercise one of there apprentices did at college.
i was so tempted. i also predict most of the new fashion bling landrovers will be wearing them so. go on DG you know you want them. by the way the hinge pin is stainless and cannot be hammered out without removing a grub screw only accessible when hinge is off. i have no connection with this firm but was very impressed . www.optimillraceproducts.com 110 xs s/wagon

In the absence of any stainless ones for the rear Safari Door I would consider purchasiing the black ones as a replacement perhaps? I think they would suit especially with the Landyglass fitted.

shame that they don't have the right shaped gasket/shim behind them in the advert , would put me off buying them !

what if you wanted them body coloured , could they be painted and the paint stay on ?

Munch I have made my own gaskets for a lot of my add ons. Using butyl pondliner and a sharp scalpel it doesn't take much effort or time.
