Thanks Mal Thumbs Up

I may just order a set of the orm hinges and do the near side front and rear doors to see the fit and if I like them!! Then again Croytec also do the door hinges, may need to email them for sizes and prices.

Mk1collector,

Thanks for highlighting the Safari stainless ones on YRM. Pre order placed. I knew they'd be in demand as various group buys had been initiated on other sites with Smiling Hound before they themselves disappeared. Apparently they have over 100 sets now on pre order and are just awaiting their return from the polishers.

Thanks again. Bow down Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

They're the same ones I have for the side doors but mine came from Stig Fasteners. Went for those as the alternatives either had too small a footprint or looked 'boxy.' It's the rear Safari ones I'm now after.

Wonder if YRM are a reincarnate of Smiling Hound perhaps? Having registered my interest and been informed the first batch were at the polishers and I would be duly informed I have heard diiddly squit since. Just sent them an e-mail requesting an update some two and a half months later. Maybe they've been polished away to nothing.

**EDIT** Mid February is the estimate - Hope they'll be worth the wait. Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Got a call from YRM this morning following another e-mail sent yesterday. The stainless Safari Door Hinges should be with me tomorrow. A few teething problems with quality initially but all sorted now apparently. We'll see.

Yrm have a pre order section for stainless, standard shape rear door hinges on their website

Thanks again for the lead Mk1, finally after four months, a couple of chasing up e-mails I have received the 316 stainless Safari Door Hinges. As far as I am aware apart from a 'non-starter' from Smilinghound (who are no longer smiling) YRM are the only suppliers. Good quality and worth the wait as mine are now showing signs of deterioration. Fixtures and fittings supplied too.

Thanks Mk 1...... Thumbs Up

It'll be a while as off to Famouth. Just sorted the Lightforce spotlamp brackets after some toerag tried to steal them obviously got frustrated and tried to yank them off and bent them. A lot to be said for tamperproof screws. No damage done but valuable time I could have used elsewhere. CCTV installed.

Sometimes it does. I do have a company car which is also quite fun and comfortable to drive and is extremely economical in comparison. Dependant on the forecast I need to know irrespective of what the weather throws at you across Bodmin, Exmoor, Dartmoor during the Winter months I have a fair chance of getting home at the end of my stint on shift.
