The Puma uses 11 bit CAN protocol over a 500k bus.
Only the IPAC and EMS are on the CAN network. There is no BCM. The Wabco ABS and Alarm (10AS)modules use serial links (Analogue) to communicate with the IPAC. The pin out on the OBDII socket is the industry standard. There is no pollen filter, Wiring diagrams as well as workshop manuals are available on this forum if you do a search. The Visteon wiring diagram you are after? Is it the pins out or the circuit board diagram? Both of which are on here somewhere IIRC. HTH |

I am after and would like to buy (not after something for nothing) a good workshop technical manual with fault finding charts wiring diagrams dtc codes etc as I plan on keeping the car for the next 10 years or until Vauxhall start making the mk2/3 cavalier again. Any recommendations would be appreciated as new to ownership and new to this whole internet forum thing. again thank you martin |

IPAC is the instrument cluster, binnacle.
If you search workshop manual and wiring diagrams you will find them on here, they were put up by dgardel. |

My my2013 defender have recently developed a fault on the alarm system, the interior lights come on when nogotiating uneven terain and the Alarm triggers sporadically when armed. i believe it to be a wiring issue though the vehicle only has 3k on the clock. i connected the Faultmate MSV 2 to the car, but it does not seem to be able to find the 10AS any idees?

Sounds to me like a door sensor or bonnet sensor is at fault, if it's going off randomly when armed check the bonnet sensor, in the summer the metal will contract and expand due to scattered cloud turning the sun on and off like a hair dryer... simple way to test the bonnet sensor is to unplug it and leave it..
although I don't think opening the bonnet turns on interior lights? |

I had a similar problem - interior light stayed on and alarm not happy. It was just a metal tab not pushing a door switch enough. Just bent the tab a bit more - easy fix.

Thanks! I found the problem on the front passenger door, could not bend the Tab as it is to thick, had to make a spacer.
