@Tiger, Dave is fitting Landyglass to my Defender on the 23rd of April. I will let you know if having it fitted reduces the noise any on a 110. Thumbs Up

You'll never know how much time it took me to get it right and a week 'off the sauce' to get a hand steady enough to carry it out.
The rack I have has 'done the rounds' and belonged to two former forum members before me, is such an early model that unique serial numbers hadn't even been devised.
It has given all three of us sterling service. the painting idea is patented but throw me a full-length one and I'll overlook it!

Personally I think it does, as you don't seem to get as much of a sort of 'tinny' noise Thumbs Up An engine to TDi for!

Quick question - can the rear glass be easily removed and the windows refitted?

Just a thought in case I wanted to return the Landy back to the its original Station Wagon look. I wish i'd bought a utility wagon and this seems like a great way of converting the station wagon to a Utility look.

If i ever needed to sell I would want to return it back to standard though.

Does this affect your insurance?

The Landyglass is bonded to the surrounding panels once the OEM windows have been removed. You would never be able to return it back without some serious outlay and sacrificing the Landyglass in the process. Can't see why you would want to? It is a one way fit!
No it does not affect insurance but can be regarded as an extra security layer as your windows can't be forced. Smashing is always an option and it won't make any difference whatever is fitted. (Thought I'd say it before somebody else would.)

You could always velcro the Landyglass on! Whistle Rolling with laughter If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I wouldn't have thought personally spending over £1000 on glass that sound would have been a contributing factor? I didn't notice any difference but with no cat or backbox I suppose one wouldn't. With air conditioning my rear windows were only opened for cleaning the regular accumilation of dirt and grime out of the runners. A little more secure and so much easier to clean and dependant on location a unique look and talking point.

When I looked at this a minute ago I was pleasantly surprised bout the price, expensive yes but most quality items are.
Is fitting difficult?

Have a look at the Landyglass site there's a step by step fitting guide. Fitting I think is best left to the professionals perhaps? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Yep, as Mal said above I'd leave fitting to the professionals! It's is, by far, the best mod I've ever done! Mr. Green An engine to TDi for!

Now there's a conundrum? Not the best mod for me perhaps but definately 'well up there' for uniqueness, looks and functionality when it comes to cleaning, maybe it is the best, it is a very hard call to make with so very many modifications.

It serves no purpose in reality, as the vehicle would drive and feel the same without it, but it is so unique it makes the vehicle stand out, or "Pop" as one of my friends says. Thumbs Up An engine to TDi for!
