Turbo failure

HI Guys My Pumas turbo well and truly blew up today, i was accelerating up hill when i heard what was like a belt snapping and then no power, no lights came on the dash board though, Its only just gone out of warranty and to be honest its been the most unreliable defender ive ever had, ive had a rusty bulkhead a failed starter motor and more electrical problems that I care to remember. I have just ordered a new turbo but just wanted to ask if anyone else has had a problem ? I dont want to put a new one on if there is another underlying problem which caused the turbo to blow . At 30,000 miles i just was not expecting this to happen on a Defender thats been regulary serviced by a main dealer. Thanks Guys look forward to your input

yeah vanes are all stripped off thought maybe that there was a problem with the oil feed pipes, is there any kind of filter gauze in them /
