I adjusted the springs earlier. It tightened up the action a little, but not sure if it is as tight as can be?

Even if it does need the slick shift it can wait as just forked out £500 on service, cambelt, brake pads and bonnet cable. I suppose its peace of mind but these defenders are not cheap Big Cry .

Ouch £500! It's worth persevering with the springs if you have time to re check them but yes defenders aren't cheap to keep running Big Cry Ray

Yeah, it was supposed to be £350 for service and cambelt however the pads needed doing and the darn bonnet cable snapped too.

It is what it is though, gives me peace of mind and forgot to mention the camshaft and crankshaft seals on the cam belt side were both leaking, the belt was covered in oil, so had them both changed too.

Hopefully that will be it for a while as my bank balance is taking a bit of a beating. I am loving getting my hands dirty though Very Happy

Managed to get my bonnet hinges fitted, the colour doesn't even look too bad and the rattle from the poor Landrover design bushes has gone Mr. Green

They are from design and development, they are the closest to standard looking security hinges I've seen although I got them for the anti rattle properties rather than security Rolling with laughter Ray

Do you have a link, Ray? Putting 'design and development' into Google brings up a gazillion results. Darren

I bought some washer jets from them a while back but haven't got around to fitting them yet.

They are somewhere in the back of my garage...

Washed, clay bar'd and waxed mine this afternoon as it hasn't had a proper wash for a while.

Ignore the side steps, I'm going to get some new ones soon and throw these through the powder coating shop window who told me I'd never have to worry about rust again Rolling Eyes Ray
