Not so much transformation, but gradually improving or refining Smile

Thanks. The wheel carriers are sold under the safari equip brand now I believe, although I bought it through scorpion racing as was. I've never had a hi-lift but liked the extra flexibility that the mounting plate gave.

I have done other bits & pieces to it, mirror heads replaced with the larger britax ones, front indicators & side repeaters replaced with clear, stainless headlamp rings with Wipac crystal headlamps, custom speaker boxes in rear corners, tachometer, plus all the usual stuff like replacing torn mudflaps... Mark S

A minor correction, Scorpion Racing 1, 2, and 3 plus Extreme 4x4 do not make wheel carriers. Those wheel carriers are made by WVA Holdings/Safari Equip Thumbs Up

There factory is a long way away from us, all of about 1.8 miles Laughing Their goods are made in the UK and items like R + T sliders are hot dipped galv. We can get them to make one offs for us to customers specifications Thumbs Up

Brendan

Guess which make of rock and tree sliders, wheel carriers and rear bumperettes are on our Defenders?

How long is a bit of string?

Depends on options pre/post 2002, standard or extra large wheel, high lift jack mount or not, then finish, powder coat, hot dip galv or hot dipped and powder coated.

Then it would vary depending on your preferred supplier!

Do the defender vents actually work? Ive been looking at them for some time but cant make my mind up if they will actually do what they say whey will? Does it keep the whole window clear on a wet day?

Thanks.

Pete.

RE the defendervent- on a wet day it clears the window enough to see the mirror by the time you start feeling warm air to your feet (with it set half-up, half-down). I used to have to wipe the front half of the drivers window all the time in wet weather, very rarely need to do that now. You get a better spread of the air over the whole screen too due to the design of the replacement bulkhead vents:

They work pretty well, though they are limited by the capacity/output of the heater itself as is the rest of the system.

Mine only cost about £15 though, not sure I'd want to pay £133 for it!
