Nice nags JWL Thumbs Up I see the Section C has a Greenguard muzzle, does she keep it on ok? One of ours is generally muzzled 24/7 during the spring and autumn, the others are strip grazed. Steve.

Simple answer is no Rolling Eyes I'm managing to keep her on a half acre patch that is as bare as a baby's bare thing. She ends up like a barrel if you don't keep an eye on her, trouble is she's allways hungry so for hassle free riding for the boy they are usually in an outdoor menage at the livery yard I keep them at. Must say that the Greenguard muzzle can last the longest staying on and effective. Must find the designer of Hannibal Lecters mask, that might be more effective.

Been quite adept at managing his laminitic tendancies over the years, his last bad episode was about 8 years ago in Febuary and he was stabled all winter. The trigger was traced to some quality hay that he was given, just enough to start him off and of course not realising at the time he kept been given it which was making him worse! My vet got the bit between his teeth(so to speak) and has become quite an expert on laminitis. It is now treated much along the lines of Type 2 Diabetis and keeping stress levels down has helped immensely. the pony only used to have about a week in which his winter coat had shed before he'd start growing it back so for the summer months he is clipped out completely and doing this has really helped plus it's a lot easier to keep an eye on his weight along with plenty of room to move around.
