Don't worry, I'll loose them all when I tell her that I've spent £650 on a remap and not on materials for our house. 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon.

That's cool! If you have the facilities to make this, I'd make mk2 go over the original bracket so its that that gets extended not the stay. Do you have a CNC? 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon.

Its pretty crazy that there's a huge market for replacement parts for defenders which aren't complicated but do a way better job than the original.
Fair enough defenders are meant to he simple but does having a door stay an inch shorter make it any more reliable or easy to manufacture? 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon.

Has anyone looked into the actual stay on the doors, surly one with more of a spring/ hold/ locate like all other cars would be good. Wonder if something could be cannibalised from another car?

I found on my back doors there is a lot of space between the black bumpstop and the locking catch. Means the door ratles when wide open.
All it needs is a longer spacer in there. 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon.
