Clutch adjust MC pushrod

Clutch pedal height adjusted, Pushrod giving me fits.

My pushrod has 2 nuts above where it enters top of pedal and a locknut below.

I cannot get the 2 nuts undone, which I need to in order to adjust to the 1.5mm free play. There is no space for an open end spanner to grab the nut closest to top of pedal assembly.

Is there a trick before I go buy a grinder to shave up a spanner to fit in there?

200Tdi, and I am following the manual.

Assistance appreciated. 2013 110 - Keswick Green

You need to grind the shoulders of a couple of spanners to do this any sense! Wink 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

There is usually enough slop in pedal pivot to cover the free play.
