Removing volumetric alarm sensor
Currently part way through stripping all the interior trim out of the back of my 90 ready for it to go off to the bodyshop and have the cappings replaced. To remove the drivers side interior side / window surround trim I have to remove the volumetric alarm sensor from the B pillar. Does anyone know if this is just a simple case of unplugging it? Seems from the exploded diagram that it is just clipped in to the trim panel? Or will unplugging it cause issues?

Grateful for any advice! 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

When I had the headlining out on my td5 disco I unplugged it when taking everything out and had no issues when I refitted it.

Just unplug and leave it unplugged if you wish.

I used to unplug mine regularly without any problems, this was to prevent the alarm going off when leaving the dog in the car with the windows partly open, I've since changed the settings on the 10AS so that locking it with the key does not set the alarm.
