No heater air to the cab but heater working.
Hi folks. Up until today my td5's heater was fine.

Tonight I jumped in it and found the slider stick quite stiff to move from the 0 (off position) I wiggled it and it moved to 2 and there's nothing coming through to the cab.

I got out and you can hear the motor working but yet nothing coming through. I've checked the levers on the heater box and they move freely.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Hi, yes, if i put my head to the wing air intake there's a lot of noise as if its sucking in lot of air.

I'm that frustrated by it i'm going to skive off work for 1/2 hour once it's daylight and go investigate, i think it could be a stuck lever.

Whilst i think i'm fairly mechanically minded, i've never had a Td5 and not had a defender for 7 years and that never had any issues.

Give me a mk3 escort and i can identify them part for part

Remove the wing top grille and check it's not full of leaves or organic matter and water? Also check that the drain hole in there is clear at the same time.

The first thing I would check is that you have water in the radiator. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.
