LED Interior Lights
Hi All,

One of the interior bulbs blew the other day so I thought it would be intersting to replace this and the rear passenger lights with LED bulbs.

The light they produce is far greater however when I am driving or when the central locking and alarm are set they still emit light albeit very dimly.

I don't foresee any issues, they don't get hot, I can't see them draining the battery in any great hurry but am I missing something?

Any advice greatfully received + I am obviously not an electrician so can someone also explain why there is still a charge going through the light terminals when the car is locke at night?

I look forward to hearing your feedback,

Best regards,

james

Loads of pointers and advice on the above thread.
Just replaced my front and back with the direct swap SMD type. Transformational. 60 seconds max per lamp unit to change. Do it! Thumbs Up

Nothing to worry about, they'll be using the same amount of power as your previous incandescents but that's enough to make them glow which it wasn't before. There has been no change in electrical behaviour, just more efficient usage of the leakage. Leakage is a fact of life with solid state switching.
