Headlight switch turns alarm on not headlights .plz helpHelp
Help.. Came to drive off in my 1999 TD5 last night, Alarm wasn't active, jumped in, started engine, but as I switched the lights the alarm sounded, but no lights.

Alarm stopped sounding when lights were switched off, but sounds every time lights switch is activated, and no sign of any lights.

Plz help Big Cry

I had the same problem when I accidentally connected the positive headlight feed to the ignition negative (long story)... Anyway, it blew a fuse and I had to do an emergency field repair

Check that fuse under the driver seat, first long one on the right Thumbs Up

Thanks mrd1990, I did check my fuses last night, but it was dark and I did have my stress head on, will have a closer look today when the stress monkey has gone. Thanks again.

Well, checked all joints, fuses, and cleaned oil out of ECU plug still no luck, also tried disconnecting the battery to see if it would reset it, but still the same problem.
Going to start from scratch tomorrow checking all joints again, and bulbs etc, if anyone has any other ideas I would be eternally grateful. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
