Hi guys,
The Td5's batter has gone flat. Like pancake flat not enough charge to unlock when pipped with the remote. I get in and put the charger on it and the alarm sounds. if I take the battery off to charge it the other alarm (BBUS) sounds. Now it wont do anything and I cant charge it. What do I do as I need to move it? I don't have a nannocom or anything like that to plug in a switch it off, not that I can as the battery is dead. Looked in the owners manual and it doesn't say what to do if the battery is flat in the vehicle. I managed to get the battery out (nobody had greased the terminals and they were welded on)
So now charging the battery out of the vehicle so at least I know battery is good. Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

Ok just to update.
Charged the battery and got it checked and it has come back saying all is well with it so now just need to refit. I put the positive on and nothing, as soon as I touch the negative the alarm goes off. What am I doing wrong and how do I stop the alarm going off while refitting the battery?
