United Kingdom 1997 Defender 110 300 Tdi CSW Coniston Green
Well, you may be interested, I went to b & j radiators at little hulton; I've no connection with them whatever. I took the rad in to be re-cored with 4 cores which they readily agreed to do, but they said if I just wanted a standard one the one they recommended head and shoulders above all others was Nissens - they said although it was aluminium it was way better than the cheap chinese ones, and they gave no problems. They seemed the kind of blokes who knew what they were on about.

Hi All,

I finally got round to swapping out the radiator, and I think you can see from the photos, it was definitely this at fault!

I then drove it from Mancester to Shotton (North East) yesterday at 70mph all the way and the needle didn't move off the halfway point.

Sadly though, I was driving to Shotton to PX it for a Range Rover, I hope whoever buys my Defender gets as much fun out of it as I did.
