Replace or clean the switch, doesn't cost much, easy job and will rule it out.
have the oil pressure checked with an independent test kit. (I have one if you're around Derbyshire). meet up with someone with a 300 and have a look at theirs. or just ignore it My 1986 90 is currently on a full rebuild, with new chassis, Paint etc.. Very much a hybrid, TD5 Chassis, tub & bulkhead with a 200TDI and LT77 GB Painted in Stornoway Grey 2 years off the road, but getting close to completion now |

Haha, I'm sometimes in Derbyshire but not enough i'll ask around locally. I'll give it a clean I suppose that's free. I've just been to frightened to disturb it and make it worse

What oil has it got in it, and was it done recently? And how long has this been happening?
If it's a thinner type of oil, it will do that until it builds up a bit. If it's only two seconds I wouldn't worry about it. Mine did that once for a couple of weeks after an oil change, and then eventually was fine. I have an oil pressure gauge fitted permanently, only a rough reading, but sadly wasn't fitted when I had that happen Does it go out straight away if you gently rev it to a few hundred above idle? 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top |

It's 10/40's semi syn.
It's happened for well over a year maybe longer. I've not tried that you mean start her up with slight pressure on pedal. Are you thinking my idle could be too low as I've often thought this myself. It used to creap off on the clutch great now the revs dip off nearly but I do have a truck fix organic clutch in . |

Had that problem with 10/40 oil. Run all my Tdis on 15/40 and never had a problem
