I found the exact same problem on Japseronys car last week,
i was lucky eniough to notice it as i was fitting a Decat front pipe and replaced the bolt as per.

I did think to my self at the time it seems weird that there is no bolt in there but obviousley there is a problem with these coming out.

It was well spotted Pete and something is obviously wrong with the fitting of these bolts from the factory.

If a site moderator is watching could this thread be put on as a permanent item or should it be posted under a different section as a warning Question

Buzz, buzz

I have had this buzz too, the truck has just had the exhaust downpipe replaced under warranty - imagine if it was just a missing bolt - I will mention this to the service manager, and check the bolts regularly.

Other common faults that I have had are:
ABS sensor fault from new - replaced
Paint flaking off inside the roof gutter - due to be rectified
Leaking into the passenger footwell - appears to be coming right through the bulkhead seal - due to be rectified

Waiting for the EGR valve to pack up!!
Confused

Just found that bolt loose again after replacing it last month. Looks like the loctite does not work. It was just sitting there on top of the heat shield.
Will have to think of another way of securing it in place.
Makes you think if that's coming loose whats next?
Tony
