Hello daves1450
... You may want to try and undo the damage caused. I came back to my parked 300tdi once, and some kind sole had managed to do almost exactly the same. I used a tow rope looped around the bumper end, packed the rear side of the bumper with a block of wood the right height <4'' / 100mm (so it wouldn't compress), and attached the other end to the base of a gate post. Reversing backwards...slowly I managed to get the bumper back to almost straight, not perfect but much better as it was almost toughing the body work and any repeat incident would have potentially damaged the wing easily. The + for me is that 1 month later a post office van drove into me and bumper, grill and spot lights were all changed. So whilst you will probably want to renew... it may be worth a try and you have one of these... SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |

only thing I would say about straightening it , it will bend easier next time , and next time it might touch the wing

That looks really great. Can I ask what grille it is you also have fitted?
Are these DLR bumpers easy to fit? |

Ahhh thank you so much, I thought it was, but wanted to check. Trying to decide between one of these or a KBX one.

With the cost and experience of the B.o.Bs RDX one did you not consider perhaps spending a little more and getting a 5mm heavy duty one perhaps? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |
