Nothing wrong with the holsworthy area lived in petrockstow for the whole of my 34 years till few months ago and only moved three miles. Know the area like back of my hand if you need advise and do also work on landrovers every day. There a few of us fellow owners around the area and also several good pubs if that your thing. I'm actually Sat in one now enjoying a cider after a hot day at work . If I can help out just shout cheers wizz .

Cheers whizz, I might take you up on the offer, local knowledge is worth it's weight in gold. I stayed at a lovely b+b in Stibb Cross a while back when looking for properties, the owner turned out to be the local chap for emptying septic tanks, lovely people, because he'd been to almost all the houses in the area to empty their tanks, he knew which ones were good. The pub was about 200 yards away too which did good grub, hence might be staying there again, it's a good place to be based. I'm looking forward to coming back because the breakfast was great!

Have you tried s.wales? I live in Carmarthenshire and it's 25min away from the gower! Cardiff about 45min away. Lovely rural area. Access to greenlanes too!

Thanks Will, having had a look on Rightmove at some of the properties I'll definitely be having a closer look and booking in for a couple of days around the area. Here's my favourite places so far...

Alltwalis Road, Pontarsais, Carmarthen , Carmarthenshire

Llanllawddog

If you come down to have a look at the area, try Llandovery, Llangadog, Llandeilo, basically south side of the river towy. The midlands and M4 are more easily reachable. Very nice area's you've been looking at though.

Id say the prices vary from area to area depending on what your looking for. Remote with a bit of land or a nice house, with a lttle land outside a small market town / village with good shops and hospitality.

Im sure you will like it.

Thanks for your help Wil, I'm registering with some local agents and will definitely be visiting and viewing, do you mind me sending you a few questions via a pm? No problem if not, but local knowledge would be great. Thanks
