Back to 'normal' Lake District weather now! Censored ing down very loudly on the roof of the tin tent all night. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Cheers Gents,
First night I had too many Rosie (looks like a pee sample) scrumpy stuff and fell off the damn ladder getting down. Bar a couple of cuts and a bruised bum, a worthy investment.
The awning is a pain to put up but makes a great kitchen area.
First morning some guy was standing, staring for an age at it. I ask was he ok, he just replied "I have Landrover envy" made me laugh... Mr. Green

The weather was unusually great, done a couple of hard walks, drank too much...all in all a fab bank holiday.

In hindsight, should of took the MTB, I clocked some great downhill tracks and once the tent is open your pretty land locked..

Snowdonia this coming bank holiday, with the bike... Thumbs Up

That looks an awesome set up.
Can I suggest you keep a empty supermarket 4 pint plastic milk bottle up there with you at night. Then when you need a wee after all that drink you just wee in the bottle. Saves a lot of cafuffle at night going up and down the ladder half asleep.
Just a suggestion but that's what I do if I'm tent camping

The state I was in falling off the ladder was the better option. Eye hand co-ordination wasn't up to peeing in a bottle,,, Whistle

Hello Mac22

Great set up you have there... but it should clearly come with a health warning! Thud

It has nowhere near the credibility of 'sleeping with your Land Rover' but you could consider
The New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel as a safer alternative next time!
