Afternoon Toad,

I think we got a new pair when we rebuilt my 90 and got all the bodywork resprayed off the vehicle. The paint on the windscreen bracket things lasted less than a year before it started bubbling! Can't blame that on Land Rover, as it wasn't done by them.

However, have now despatched a new pair (and some new door hinges) to Matthew to repaint. Hopefully should last a lot longer this time!

Hiya Pam,

Havn't seen Matthew since the beginning of the year when we cleared my mums house out. DJC gets him to do most of his jobs though. Hes just ordered a short 2.25 from Turners for his 88. So MS will be fitting that when it arrives Smile

I'm just having a new outrigger welded to the 80" locally as it got trashed while the wife was RTVing at the weekend Bow down She did get further than me in that section before slipping into a bomb hole, it needed two motors to get her out, They hauled it through a tree and bananad me door handle too

Good god man, have they not heard of winches down your way? Rolling with laughter

Ouch though Sad

Don't think we've done a rope recovery on a motor for years on a YORC trial... gently does it works best ! I think at least half of the motors have at least one winch, and there is no shortage of volunteers to get hooked up ! Wink Our blog - http://landytravels.com/

Anti-corrosion warranty

Should any part of the bodywork of the vehicle be perforated by rust corrosion, the panels affected by the perforation will be repaired or replaced by any Land Rover dealer/Authorised Repairer, completely free of charge, regardless of any change in vehicle ownership.

Even if they classed it as an accessory... Have a look here...

The windscreen blocks have been discussed many times before on here, and it's been determined that they are a warranty item! If your dealer won't replace, I advise you have words with them and then go to another dealer and seek their opinion on the matter! An engine to TDi for!
