There is some very good advice on here somewhere that recommends sealing the glass with silicone to stop what has happened to your car.

The issue of possible windscreen surround corrosion with ingress of dirt and crud was highlighted by me nearly three years ago in the thread below. I and Fekete had long running issues with water ingress which were finally resolved with a windscreen out and sealing the seal. With all the crud that sits in the channe under the seall it is no wonder at all the corrosion shown in the pictures. I would imagine there will be many more cases of this to come in the next year or so.....

After millions of calls to the dealers, and more than a few to LR, I've been told that it might be fixed soon! The downer is that the recommended body shop is in Stourbridge, and the dealers are in Burnham. Already voiced my concerns at having my car driven in excess of 220 miles to have it mended, and am hoping LR will use a transporter, and provide a vehicle while mine is being sorted... Knowing my luck, it'll be a pink Ewok! Stay tuned for more news as it happens... ... ,-------, .. I [__][_]|__ .. I __ |"_|"__| .. Best of luck with Stratstones, they need a constant kick up the asre to get stuff done I have had 18 months of nightmares with them regarding a Discovery 3 and a Defender |

has something changed.....are they now more prone to this problem. other than silcone on the rubber seal is there anything more that can be done? |

And I was going to buy an Ewok from them as a run around.. Oh well, looks like it'll be the Subaru instead. ... ,-------, .. I [__][_]|__ .. I __ |"_|"__| ..
