Guess what happened when we were driving back from Chester on Thursday.

Pulled up at a set of lights and heard the clunk clunk clunk noise. Rear diff again I think this is the 6th Evil or Very Mad

Hi Folks,
I am waiting six weeks now to have the whiny rear diff replaced.

Today I called LR customer service and was told that the diff supplier went bankrupt. Therefore no forecast on the availabilty of new diffs. Fore sure, they offered a replacement vehicle.

BUT ... I want t have my 110 fixed!

Does anybody know the company which does the diffs for LR? Can we believe this story?

Alternatives ... what about installing a KAM diff?

That is really a bad news.
I hope that mine will keep in good shape until they found another supplier.

I hope Pauly that the problem will be solved as soon as possible

Cheers Eduardo

I'd go with a KAM and upgrade the half shafts whilst I was at it.

I doubt the dealer would pay, however, so you'll either be doing it at your own cost or swapping your car. Maybe you can negotiate for part payment or come extra kit by way of compensation. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

They will have a stock for the production run and a shadow supplier ready to run - but it will likely be a month or so minimum to get manufacture going. Mike

arent caterpiller contracted to supply the parts so they would have a 2ndary supplier surely

Ashcrofts do them

If you upgrading the diff then ARB, lots of stockists, easy to get parts/service etc and good after sales. Cheers
