I have just seen one of these pass me, on my way home there. So there is one up here in the northeast Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Norway 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Keswick Green
I had a chance to see and touch it on local car show in Norway, last year.
Attached some photos below.

Really good impression with quality of build and the way how it is finished, interior etc. Didn't have a chance to ride it or even hear the engine sound. My few comments for this specific piece.
- missing side steps, too high to enter the driver seat, no way to don't break the leather edge in short time.
- front bumper... just ugly, including parking sensors in cheapest Chinese style (!?!?!)
- tires not matching the car. Bringing the one into exhibition, as a terrain master, who put regular road wheels on it? See the Bond's Defender as for comparison Wink
- comfortable driver's position a little bit too much buttons and switches, at least at first glance.
- price kills, plus unclear service, make it rather unpractical in Norway (never seen one driving on the street)

And at the same exhibition - the old 130 used in one of recent Bond's movies (really used during the movie, they had several pieces, and some of them were not destroyed, went to collectors, which one of them is in my city Smile

One of my issues would be the seats. They appear to get positive comments from users. My worry is down the line a few years and constant use, getting in and out etc. This will no doubt wear the side of the seat base. Used to happen on my work van. Unlike the Defender the seat base is not a changeable part so a whole new seat would need to be bought. My employer used to gripe at this!
The amount of switches would get me but I am sure constant use would sort that.
If I did not have a Defender it would be the vehicle I would go for. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I remember when we bought a Puma I had to consult the handbook for the heating. Having driven a 200tdi prior to this it seemed very technical Laughing 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

If anyone is tracking prices they appear to continue to drop at a pleasing rate, pleasing if you're thinking of getting one when they get to mid 30s anyway. The aftersales service is problematic, service agents were told they would get parts within 24-48 hours and are reporting 20+ days. If there are issues which impact on factory tolerance then getting Ineos out to review and approve the vehicle is fit to return to the road is taking months, not weeks. People paying £80k+ for a vehicle aren't going to tolerate that sort of rubbish, unless they are used to LR customer service.

I still think it is a cracking piece of kit and great value as a second hand buy assuming you can get the majority of mechanical parts directly from suppliers other than Ineos.

That G Class looks lovely though. It may weigh half a tonne more than the petrol version but with 580bhp and1200 nm I doubt you’d notice the difference. Goodness knows how much power the AMG version will have! WARNING.

The Tesla Plaid Model S is over 5,000 pounds iirc, so the G doesn't seem so bad Mr. Green

There was an interesting YT video where they discussed how the higher the performance, the heavier the EV, and this was due to performance vs range and need for larger batteries to ensure the range didn't suffer. The more batteries, the heavier the EV.

The standard G isn't a petite ballerina but the EV G certainly needs stop going through the McDonalds drive-through and supersizing it.

As for that Grenadier front bumper... it makes the shockingly ugly one on the Jeep Wrangler look decent and that is a dubious accomplishment.

Haha, you make a good point. I remember my old p reg Clio... had an issue with the battery, so I used to park it pointing down hill, so I could always roll it to start Laughing
