Could be a genuine trade buyer

However
More likely a "travelling" business hoping the girl
wouldn't know the true value of the Land Rover.

She's probably lucky they didn't steal it and just left a card.

"N Price 4x4" doesn't seem to exist, certainly not as a registered business. Unless he's just doing it as a sideline.
You're allowed to buy and sell six vehicles per year before it has to be classed as a business.

I usually get trade and private notes left.

Mines always covered in mud and what might appear a tatty appearance.

I think they are hoping to make a fast buck with a spit and polish.

The best one I had was from a Yank over visiting old air fields.

Offered me a good price but was put off by import problems at the time.

I wouldn’t have sold it, kids will have killed me.

Like above said, keep an eye on it next time she parks there, heard similar technique of targeting vehicles, they find out where you live and tow them away. Others have reported being followed home.

I live out in the sticks, if suspect I am being followed down country lane, I will over shoot my home until I have shaken the tow.

My mate came round this morning, by coincidence.

He drives a ratty series 2 that is all original

In local town a knobber offered him a grand cash for it.

We get them all up from London visiting their holiday homes

My mate said he didn’t, deal in cash, only donkeys and sugar beat.

He told the bloke he would swap it for his daughter

The bloke didn’t see the funny side.

Apparently traders are being more proactive looking for good vehicles as the ones they are being offered are sheds.

I must admit, all of this topic did give me a bit of a "spidey senses tingling" feeling... I appreciate being a crook and leaving a calling card doesn't make much sense, but I'd definitely feel a little uneasy about the interest (more than just a chat from passers by)... The Yeti - 110 Camper https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90308.html
