United Kingdom 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Stornoway Grey
Someone in some kind of hideous Peugeot thing followed me for about 15 miles earlier this week, in broad daylight, with - I think - the headlights on main beam. I quite literally had spots before my eyes from the reflection in the door mirrors.

Driver 'assistance' technology in cars is leading to a new generation of even more brain-dead driver than before, and as far as I can tell is actually having completely the opposite effect of that intended.

What is also irritating to me are brain dead local authorities that are checking if drivers have their lights on in tunnels and are happy to see cars with DRLs on even though they do not have any tail lights. Defies the whole safety scope of making yourself visible to other drivers since all local tunnels are one direction with no oncoming traffic through the same tunnel. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

I totally agree with you both.
‘We’ are becoming less safe due to all the so-called safety features.
Bring back Trafficators!
