air in fuel??

hi new here..

Got a 99 td5 90

About a year ago after a bit of green laning it started cutting out after a few miles(pump starts making noise then cuts out)
Will start after turning over loads or with a tow start
Cured it by getting new coopers fuel filter and tightening up unions on housing (which is about a year old)
About a year later After sitting around for a month its doing it again...change filter ..removed air bleed valve etc but still doing it

Injectors were rebuilt 2 years ago ..new loom 6 months ago..regulator 10 years old but no leaks.

Guess new pump next?

The thing is when driving its never been faster and responsive in the 17 years ive had it.
