If you don’t want to split it completely, I had good results with Captain Tolleys Creeping gap filler. If I remember rightly when I did split the roof, I used the standard sealing strip, but backed up with tiger seal panel bond/sealant.

There is standard foam and rubber seal for that connection.
I find where it get's tricky is in the corners. There is screw that connects the screen to the roof in the corners behind the liner but that works itself loose. It's also a cross head so not that easy to tighten up. I change that screw with a same size hex-head screw and tightened it up with a bunch of locktite, which is not the best application for the type of screw, but so far it has held out (2-years) and the corners are still a tight connection. |
