I took the capping off, and then refitted it over the top of the carpet to give a nice finish and a hard wearing edge.

Hi,
That’s exactly what I’m after. Thanks. Is it just a matter of drilling out the rivets and then replacing? Not something I’ve done and to me sounds scary but I’m sure I can manage!!! |

Yep just drill out, match the drill bit diameter to the rivet head, I'm not sure of the rivet size to replace though sorry
